Summary

We’re looking for somebody who is enthusiastic about working at the intersection of privacy and technology. Ideally, you will have 2+ years of legal experience with knowledge and expertise working with technology, or alternatively you may be an IT graduate with a strong interest in the law and humanities.

In this role, you will apply your knowledge of privacy regulation to solve business problems using cutting edge technology. You will analyse business and technical challenges and help to design and implement processes and configurations that allow organisations to carry on reliable and trustworthy privacy operations.

You will have responsibility for the day to day running of deployed privacy technologies and continuous customer service improvements. This role will be an outstanding launchpad for your career in privacy, cyber risk and legal technology.

Working Conditions

Currently the role will be fulfilled remotely.

As normal work patterns emerge later in 2020 we will consider working together for a few days per week in an office space. We expect that we will continue to provide the option to work from home one or more days a week.

 

Job Title Privacy Operations Specialist
Summary of Duties
  • Take responsibility for the provision of a professional and customer focused service, ensuring that the professional advice and assistance is provided in relation to case handling and policy interpretation.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of deployed privacy operations, resolve issues where possible or escalate as necessary.
  • Assist with the analysis of client business challenges, help to design novel solutions and take on responsibility for initial implementation under supervision.
  • Act as a point of technical expertise for the elevenM team on current and planned privacy operations technologies.
Training and Qualifications
  • Preferably, you are a law graduate with at least 2 years of experience working in a legal environment. You will also have experience and a strong interest in technology.
  • Alternatively, you may be a graduate in an IT-related field with an interest in the humanities as well as demonstrated experience and ability applying technology solutions to business and/or legal problems.
Tools
  • Extensive knowledge of and experience with standard desktop productivity software (e.g. MS Word and Excel).
  • Strong aptitude for learning, understanding and using modern desktop and web-based apps for process improvements.
  • Some knowledge of programming fundamentals, logic and problem-solving techniques also desirable.
Location Ideally, you will be based in Sydney or Melbourne. However, we are open to considering applications from people in other locations.
